What Tourists Saw Lurking Beneath A Kayaker Gave Them A Heart Attack

Everything was warm and sunny on a beautiful pier in Panama City Beach, Florida, until, like an ominous scene from Jaws, the dark outline of a shark was seen lurking beneath the crystal-clear waters.

Watch as those looking on from the pier shout in horror as it heads straight for an unsuspecting kayaker…

Luckily, this wasn’t a great white, but a basking shark. Though it is the second-largest fish in the sea, it prefers to eat tiny plankton over single-manned canoes. It seems this shark is just doing what it does best — basking in that Florida sun.

He Heard Some Splashing From Behind His Kayak, But What He Found Is Beyond Heartbreaking

He Heard Some Splashing From Behind His Kayak, But What He Found Is Beyond Heartbreaking

Written by the Providr.com editorial team

Sometimes, people come along at precisely the right time. Rory O’Conner didn’t expect to be a hero when he set out to go fishing on his kayak. However, when he saw an animal in need in the water, the reason the animal was there just about broke his heart.

The man was fishing in Florida when he heard some splashing behind his kayak. When he turned around, he found himself face to face with a dog. He was shaken and appeared to be injured. He had also swam pretty far out. Rory knew that he had to help.

So Rory put him on his kayak and swam back to shore for what he estimated was a half mile swim. The dog had a collar but no tag and his paw was hurt so badly that he couldn’t stand on it. He was terrified, unsure what to do, Rory decided to call his sister.

His sister suggested that he may have an ID chip, a hunch that turned out to be correct. They found out that the dog’s name was Barney and got him to the vet for treatment. However, when they discovered how Barney ended up in the water, they were speechless.

Sharks are very fascinating but terrifying creatures. Trying to haul one onto your boat or kayak would be a problem because sharks are extremely heavy and quite large. This kayak angler named Graham Smith went out into the water off Malin Head for some fishing in Donegal, Ireland.

He definitely was not expecting to catch a 294 pound shark during his outing. RTE reports that the nearly 300 pound shark was a Porbeagle, and usually are eight and a half feet. In the footage, the very excited fisherman is travelling along the choppy waters.

First, the shark comes up and nudges the kayak on the side, and the man behind in a kayak says ‘woah [expletive]’ You can see the shark thrashing around by the end of his fishing line.

He turns to the camera and looks nervous and laughs a little. It says on the video that it took three hours and ten minutes to get the shark off his fishing line.

Relating to locals, the Tomata 2 is known as is the scariest waterfalls regarding lake.

Check out the complete video clip of Muggridge’s fall below. It is not for faint of heart.

A Man Kayaking Through Flood Waters Spotted A Tiny Squirrel In Trouble

A flood surveyor was paddling his kayak through waters in Fenton, MO, when he made quite the discovery.

There was a little squirrel struggling in the current. The flood waters were fast moving, so the kayaker helped the waterlogged squirrel out.

“I saw this little guy jump and try to swim for a bigger tree for safety, but the current was just too strong. You can see him jump from the tree in front of me and start swimming but the current was quickly pulling him downstream. I know squirrels don’t understand English but I couldn’t help but yell out some positive encouragement.”

The current was almost too strong for this little guy.
